Well I found my cat one day when my girlfriend and I were walking up to the corner store. I told the women out side that he was a pretty cat and she said do you want him.

I said ohh you are getting rid of him she said let me go ask my son and he came out and told him if I wanted him to pick him up and take him home don’t stand around with him so I took him home and the next day I went and got his litter and stuff he needed.

My boyfriend came home and fell in love with him. His name is Snowie and he was already named that because he is pure white. He is def lazy and loves to lie in the window and sleep or sleep in my tub. more…

I have a black cat named Edgar. He’s about 3 years old now, and we’ve had him for about two years. We found Edgar at a local animal shelter where we get all our cats. He’s a black American shorthair.

We do not know if he is a purebred or not. The animal shelter found him on the streets and rescued him. When we went to the animal shelter, they have a room where they keep all the cats and kittens.

There the kittens and cats are let out of their cages so that people can interact with them. When we entered the room and sat down on the floor, a small black cat came up to me almost instantly. We bonded quickly. more…

My last addition to our cat family is Marmite, he is a pure black domestic shorthair. He is the son of my cat Toots she had a litter of all boys, 4 black shorthaired and one fluffy ginger boy.

I called Marmite his name because when he was about 5 weeks old I was eating Marmite on toast and he tried to steal it and I sat there feeding him the rest of my piece of toast. He is 6 months old now and a real mummy’s boy he loves to be where ever I am even coming in the bathroom with me.

He likes to sit with me while I am using the computer either laying on my arm, which is annoying when I am trying to type or if I keep putting him on the floor he will jump up on my shoulder and go to sleep. more…

I actually have two cats. The female is named Nila and she came from one of my daughter’s friends. She is named after a character from an Anne Rice novel and the name means “the spirit of the Nile”. She is the older of the two cats.

The other cat is a male and his name is Horus. He was named after the ancient Egyptian god with the falcon head. He does think he is a god. He has managed to achieve the weight of 17 pounds although I think he lost some weight this summer.

Both cats know when it’s time for food. There is no sleeping in for me. Nila often settles herself on top of me and takes a nap. Horus has figured out that I’ll wake up if he rattles the blinds. more…

My cat’s name was Misha, I always liked that name so I called her like that, we met many years ago, and I was scared of cats. She was a street cat and she tried to get inside our house no matter what I would do: close the windows and everything because I didn’t wanted her inside my house.

One time we had mice in our house and we heard in the backyard Misha making noises, she captured the mouse very happy and proud like showing us she was a good cat , like saying “See what I can do? Adopt me please” but still we didn’t pay attention to her so much, until we noticed she was pregnant. more…

I adopted my cat Skitter from my veterinarian. He had been at the clinic for several months and they needed to find a home for him. He was 18 months old when I got him.

He is black and white domestic shorthair and weighs approximately 14 pounds. When I first brought him home he was a little skittish so we named him Skitter.

Another good name for him would be Slinky. When he is frightened he slinks along the floor/ground and if he gets really scared he runs straight for his food dish! When he’s not being afraid he is limp as a dish rag. more…

We found my cat at an old job I had, we sanded shutters for houses. She was very small, we weren’t sure how old she was. She looked like she hadn’t ate in days. She stayed very small even we she got healthy though.

Now she’s finally gaining some weight after giving birth to four kittens. They were healthy, but small like her. Her name is Delilah, from the song “Hey there Delilah”. She has a lot of personality for a cat. She always wants to be in the room with the most people.

She doesn’t really like other female cats much. She wants to be the center of attention at all times. She likes to go outside, but only if a human is with her. more…

I got my cat Bindi at a rescue shelter. He had polydactyl and they had cut a piece of his ear off because he was born feral and when he was neutered they did that so they would know he was already neutered.

I named him Bindi after The Crocidile Hunter’s daughter. When I first got him he was very timid and for the first 2 days he hide. He finally came out with some coaxing but he won’t give any affection to anyone but me although he will play with my friend. more…

I found my best friend in Wisconsin while on a camping trip 12 years ago. We saw this adorable 6 week old kitten playing in a parking lot of a restaurant.

I recently lost my own cat to cancer just 3 months earlier. I told my husband that if we come back tomorrow and he his still there, I would take him back to Chicago.

The restaurant owner said that those cats belong to the horse stable where they have kittens every spring and sometimes they die in the cold winter. We came back the next day and the kitten wasn’t there. more…
