I love my cat. She can be the sweetest most loving little creature in the world! She lays by my feet at night and I can hear her purr and it puts me in a wonderful mood.
She is very smart and comes running to me whenever she hears me open the cabinet with her food inside. That cabinet has a certain little squeak that I can barely hear! Her name is Bumpy!
My son names her on the day we got her. He was 5 that day. We heard a knock at the door. One of the neighborhood children had this sweet tiny little kitten in his arms and told us that she didn’t have a home and if we wanted her. I never had a cat before in my life and at one point I was very allergic to cats. more…

My cat’s name is Cricket. He is a small tabby with a lot of energy. How Cricket came to our house is a sad one. My boyfriend’s friend died in a car crash a while back and Cricket was left without a home.
We wanted to get a cat anyways, and we figured that taking him in would have special meaning. A time lapsed between us actually adopting him and his friend’s passing.
He was left outside most of the time and acquired fleas and ear mites. We had to fight the critters pretty hard to get rid of them.
Cricket has seemed a lot happier since he’s not getting bitten all the time. He seems to sleep all day, but gets very hyper active in the evenings and early morning. He’s become our natural alarm clock…one that pounces on your face! more…

I got my cat Bindi at a rescue shelter. He had polydactyl and they had cut a piece of his ear off because he was born feral and when he was neutered they did that so they would know he was already neutered.
I named him Bindi after The Crocidile Hunter’s daughter. When I first got him he was very timid and for the first 2 days he hide. He finally came out with some coaxing but he won’t give any affection to anyone but me although he will play with my friend. more…
